A Western swing band I know, the Saddle Cats, is getting terrible turnouts. Other Western bands likewise. I booked a Saddle Cats show the other night and it was a disaster. But Cari Lee and the Saddle-Ites have had similar shows where they outnumbered the audience.
What gives? I can post to the various Western and twang lists and nobody shows up from the lists.
Or do people just sit at home and play Bob Wills CDs?

Carrie Lee has big turnouts when she tours Europe, but not here.
The Saddle Cats includes legendary pedel steel player Bobby Black (Commander Cody & His Lost Planet Airmen and Asleep At The Wheel), along with fiddler Richard Chon (Sons of the San Joaquin and Dan Hicks & His Hot Licks). These guys are no slouches.

Okay, I didn't see that. I don't remember that being on the description before. I'll leave then. I don't live in the past.
